Man I tell you what...
Considering how sexy Jesse James really was, I guess it shouldn't be so hard to believe that the cowardly Robert Ford was obsessed with him.

I just wish there was some kind of actual historical evidence of such. I can't seem to find any proof of it when I search.

Aw man, apparently the film was adapted from a book that was written by somebody with homosex fantasies about Jesse and Robert!!!
See this is the SERIOUS problem with clear info being lost to time.
Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the movie and I don't think it ever went too far with any of its suggestions necessarily...
But WHAT IS THE FUCKING TRUTH?
Would've been nice if Jesse James had picked up a pencil and wrote some shit down like Custer did.

So where are the letters and whatnot??

So Jesse reads the paper, discovers this betrayal, and then turns his back on the armed men?
Really?
COME ONNNNNN.

Jesse James is pretty recognizable, I'm starting to see the similarities between all his REAL photos...
But there are some pictures out there which claim to be him and absolutely ARE NOT.

Some lady randomly found one of the most bitchin' photos of Jesse James ever, but it took a long time for anyone to pay attention or believe her.
It's a great pic...
My issue with old photos is their blurriness and the aging of the photograph material itself.
It could be argued that digital photos will maintain their clarity and quality forever, but I gotta say...
I have my internet archives from 2005 onward, and the photos, screencaps, etc. that I took back in those days tend to be rather small and of less than great quality...
Due to the quality of the cameras I had, due to my screen resolution at the time...
There are a lot of variables that go into it and it seems that even with the digital age of 'immortality' in photo, video, etc. quality will still not be guaranteed.
I find this fascinating as it sort of suggests that we can't escape natural degradation that takes place in everything throughout the course of time, no matter what we do.
I like it in a way... I enjoy seeing the varying quality and style of photos and videos that are made in this modern era. But I do feel that there will always be those times when we look back at historical material whether physical or digital and wish that it had been better preserved/maintained.

So I thought Jesse James looked REALLY familiar, like a famous actor or singer...
I headed over to StarsByFace and ran his image, and it came up with the exact person who I think he was reminding me of...
Kevin Dillon.
And of course Kevin Dillon himself also looks a lot like Ethan Hawke...

But these are the two famous peeps who Jesse James was reminding me of.

But he also reminds me of somebody else that I feel like I've actually known/met, and I can't place who the heck it is.
I dunno if it's even true.
He looks sooo familiar, and it's not just himself who I'm recognizing from looking at his pics in the past, it's definitely someone else.

Poor feller's either dead, in jail, or has abandoned the world for his own fancies until he does die.
But yeah, he is somewhat of a modern day outlaw, I would say that is true.

But I don't think he looks like Jesse James.
He does look like a typical wild west outlaw though, that's for sure.
I did my best to write about him in his heyday and preserve his adventures for history.
I think that's what we should be doing, only we should do it for ourselves...
It's rare to get a dedicated fan such as myself to write about you and solidify your legend.
It doesn't happen for most people, so cover the bases and do it for yourself.

If I see a lot of use of the ellipsis, I know I'm dealing with a very intelligent, cunning, intuitive and perceptive individual.
The book/movie about Jesse James/Robert Ford did paint Jesse in an almost psychically perceptive light, and I found that very interesting.

I'm quite interested in Custer too, not gonna lie...
He and I are VERY similar.
But I dunno about his beliefs and shit like that, we may differ a lot there.
As people though, we have a lot of similarities and I wanna get into exploring some of Custer's material.
It's very exciting that he actually wrote. Just wow.
He's not a bad looking dude, he's no Jesse James, that's for sure, but...
I guess he's sexy enough to look into if I get some spare time I wanna spend in that direction.

Jesse James' handwriting was almost 100% readable if you took the time, which I didn't, lmao. I just sorta glossed over it and tried to make out what I could.
It REALLY makes me think, though. A lot of this stuff is written in cursive-ish style. People aren't even taught cursive in school anymore. And let's get real... the shit is hard to read. I think plain printing has a better chance of being legible down the line for future readers. That said, who knows? What if someday in the not even too far future, plain printing isn't even legible to your average fucker? Scary!
Plus the fact that a lot of people's handwriting is just shit, cursive OR printing. My handwriting is kind of... like, not great sometimes. It DOES vary though. Sometimes it's quite neat (at least for me), and other times it's a horrorshow.
Hmmm.
And I mean, look at fucking Custer's handwriting compared to James'...
https://imgur.com/a/kE8z1yw
With all due respect, what the shit, sir??
Like...
That's 20% readable at best. At least for me.
So while I honor and appreciate the fact that Custer wrote at length AT ALL (thank God he did)...
It's not like, all that useful to me if I'm being 100% honest.
If I'm being 100% honest...
That ONE letter from Jesse James that I can actually read and drool and lust over is better than 30 letters from Custer where I can make out maybe like 5 words max in the whole thing.

And it also makes me think...
This is just what's left over, surviving, and shared of ALL THE THINGS THEY WROTE in their lives.
And it AIN'T MUCH.
And we're lucky to even SEE THIS.
So.
What will survive of what you and I have written??
What will be the ONE LETTER that is saved/preserved/shared amidst 100 letters and other material that we've WRITTEN???

What I certainly believe is that, whatever that surviving material is, it'll summarize who the hell we were in stunning clarity.
Take the Jesse James letter as an example, again...
He's bitching out people for claiming he's a horse thief and threatening them (WORDS ON PAPER, lmao, imagine him on the internet!) to take back the claims "or else"...
Like.
For real.
That ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY MILLION PERCENT TOTALLY ENCAPSULATES THE GOD'S HONEST TRUTH of who the fuck Jesse James really was.

I'm so turnt and lit right now.
So entirely purely and totally aroused beyond belief by all of this, so so so aroused and I cannot even.
I can't. I can't even. So aroused.
