I cooked the yellow squash and calabacitas in bacon grease in the cast iron skillet today. They didn't brown that much because the squash produced a lot of juice, but it had a nice flavor.

Two squashes make more than I can eat in one sitting. I get two meals out of it. I could just cook one at a time, but it's prettier with both the green and yellow in there.

I'm laying off the chocolate. Several huge cases of chocolate candy found their way into the house. I got teh loose stools from eating too much of it. So now it's back to squash and salad greens for me.
