These commentaries are not that great, bc he's usually pretty tipsy. But all of the old Survivorman episodes are on his channel, if you wanna rewatch them.

I'll post some pics of my fence when it's done. It's seriously pretty nice.

I'm not going to lie, I don't know too much about chickens. I have to look up the different breads. There is a place that I heard sells them in the small town down the hill, or Tractor Supply in the larger town where I go shopping at.

Well, at least you've got plenty of time to learn... you're already well on your way to self-sufficiency, which is the true American dream.

Yeah, I just take it one project at a time. Just keep moving forward toward a goal. I am trying to be self self sufficient, you're right.

It's the only worthy goal in life, TBH.

There are a lot of wonderful goals to have, personal passions and creative pursuits...

But self-sufficiency is the one thing where if you accomplish it, you're a success immediately and you wouldn't even need to do anything else.

I mean, of course everyone has their different ideas of what success is and all that, but...

I dunno, just my opinion.

I got more posts in the ground for my fence. They are natural timber from my juniper trees. That is what everyone does here. I need to get barbed wire now. Rails would not work too well. That's probably why everyone does barbed wire.

I got the best timber I could for the posts. They are pretty thick and straight pieces of timber that I cut down from the juniper trees.

I love wood.

Same. My fantasy is to have a chain saw and a bunch of pine trees to mill up.

The smell of that freshly cut wood man... the smell of wood in general, just a little building made of wood. Fuck yeah.

Did you ever watch Hamish Peterson, the bowl cut guy? He used to be really good. He's off the rails now though.

He was a surfer dude who was into spiritual stuff. He went viral on accident while giving himself, what he referred to as, bowl cut style hair cut. His channel is lame now though.
