Bushcraft: Wilderness Survival Info Sources
I want to make a couple vids of the homesteading stuff and property. Yeah, I did make a couple before on my Youtube account/channel. But they weren't that good, so I took them down. I want to make at least a couple good ones though. Thanks for reminding me.

So what year did you begin working on your homestead Dan?

How long has it taken to get to this point?

How does it feel to live in a structure you built yourself?

It took me a couple years working on it on and off. I've been up here a few years. It definitely feels like I live in a shed. But when it's done. it will be nice, just like a tiny house.

I'm also gunna buy an RV too soon, as an additional residence. It helps with the permit stuff in the future.

Actually, I mean a fifth wheel, like a trailer.

Good, the RVs you drive around have even more problems than the ones you just hitch.

Build another carport to park the RV under and it'll last a lot longer.

It's the same for any mobile home/trailer... build a roof structure over it and it'll last a lot longer.

Yeah, exactly. I don't need another motor driven vehicle. I just need a fifth wheel trailer. I'm gunna get one from the junk yard or craigslist. Hopefully this year, or next year for sure.

He started to lean into the only "nature sounds" with no dialogue though. But he does make regular vlog style stuff too.

I kinda hate that.

I don't like it when people start making content that they hope appeals to some kind of niche like ASMR etc.

It just shows they're not doing what they're actually passionate about, they're just trying to have mass appeal and be people pleasers.

I bought my 400 watt inverter, so now I can start powering a lot of kitchen stuff.  I'm going to hook up my 3rd solar panel for that circuit too, for 300 watts.  I have a second circuit too with some harbor freight panels, just 200 watts, but it works, I have a lead acid battery on that one.

Here is the rooftop solar on the shed.

I did a ton of research, and found out most people build barns in rural areas to store their vehicles without an actual garage. Like this one, but with a garage door.

I feel like the barn approach is more for longterm storage and protection from winter or storm conditions.

Carports may be more handy if you take the vehicle out a lot and there isn't much harsh weather where you're located.
