So there have been mice in my house over the years, sometimes I kill 'em, sometimes I don't.
Mostly they just lived in the laundry room, but now they're sorta branching out. I digress.
A few months back, I'm standing at the dryer folding some clothes, and a mouse jumps down off some shit and lands on my decade old Ramen stockpile.
I look over at him, and he's just sitting there sorta hesitating about whether he should run or not. I start talking to him in my "cute animal" voice. We make eye contact for like a solid 20 seconds before he ultimately runs off and continues with whatever he was doing.
Ever since that moment of connection, he has stepped out fearlessly in front of me and made DIRECT, SUSTAINED EYE CONTACT WITH ME like 5 times.
I've been finding HUGE stashes of these weird seeds (I've seen them stash these exact seeds before in other geographical locations, so I already knew it was a thing)...
They're stashed all over the place, and I found at least an entire cup full of them stuffed between a few paper towel rolls in the laundry room. I have never seen a stash so huge.
My question is...
What does he know?? Why is he going so hardcore to store these seeds? Why is he so fearless as to step out in full fucking view when he KNOWS he ain't alone in the damn room, FACE STUFFED WITH SEEDS, and walk right past me to wherever he's going??
Is it even the same mouse?? Is it multiple mice?? Why are they going so fucking hard to store these seeds?? I've never seen this before. Never before in my life have I had a mouse fearlessly step out in front of me and fully acknowledge that it KNOWS I'm fucking there.
It's either a really bad winter... or?? I'm thinking it's GOTTA be the winter thing (which totally sucks). But what if it's something else?? What else could it even be??
