Plasma lighters...

It's for this exact reason that this guy doesn't use plasma lighters...

It acts like a dog whistle.

I can hear the high pitch for sure, and I kind of enjoy it even though I am WELL KNOWN for being extremely averse to high pitched sounds. I've always been able to hear shit in frequency ranges nobody else around me could hear.

But since this is a controlled kinda thing, it doesn't bother me.

Makes me wonder though...

Are the compounding potential dangers of these plasma lighters far outweighing their positive aspects??

Cuz it's kinda starting to seem like that's the case.

I actually dropped like $9 on Amazon for this new plasma lighter that is supposed to be waterproof and shit for hiking, I got it for my bug out bag. Although these things supposedly have a high rate of failure and the battery can obviously drain over time, I still think it's an excellent addition to any survival pack. The more ways of making fire, the better.

Good Lord.

I am over it.

I'm over plasma lighters.

I dunno how the fuck I got this Zippo brand plasma lighter but okay, back on the shelf it goes.

Throwing this new one in my survival pack.

My stomach literally turned when I pushed play on that video.

I'll huff lighter fluid fumes all day before I subject myself to that shit.

I've been going low tech recently. I got tired of my Chinese diesel heaters breaking after one year. I discovered the old school stuff. Kerosene lanterns, and kerosene heaters also. I bough two lamps so far. They use barely any fuel, and heat my shed. And they cost 10 bucks and never break... -Dan

Oh my God, Dan. That's horrible. I don't even know what to say.

At least some time has passed... they say time heals all wounds, but I dunno.

Some of them it just seems to change the way you feel about it rather than healing anything.
