I actually probably do know how they found it, lol. But it was surprising when they told other people and then they actually came around and said some shit. I had expected to be alone for the duration of the site.
One time I started a (free hosted) board back in like 2004, and someone randomly showed up on it. No idea how they found it. Maybe it was an admin of the actual free board host itself. They joined it and got super weird with me... sketched me out and I didn't register any more free boards after that.

There's a major political discussion board - I'm talking huge and well-known - that's run by a NY police officer. He abuses his access to police computers to dig up dirt on users.
A friend of mine was a high-profile CFO who takes pains to keep her PI offline. He started some shit with her. I think he wanted to fuck her.

I'll tell you one thing that's kinda weird. An iPhone user was hitting the front page a lot but never clicking on any threads until I threatened to IP ban anybody doing that. Then they clicked a couple of threads. Someone at the MyBB help forum said the IP was owned by Cloudflare. I'm still seeing a lot of iPhone traffic. It's the top visitor user agent besides my own user agent string. I'd think there would be more Windows or Android users. Very strange.

That's the great thing about having your own site (and being willing to spam it)...
You lose all interest in posting elsewhere.
I don't use any comment sections anywhere else either.
I just refuse to give any of my writings to another platform, even if it's a one-liner that could be left on a YT vid comment section... it's not gonna happen.

I don't post on other sites and I don't read them either.
I mostly just watch YouTube or do individual research sessions about whatever I'm interested in at the moment.
Not gonna be part of any communities that are text based, but I will still put videos online.
Those are my rules now.
Pretty soon I'll stop watching other people's videos too, and it's just all gonna be me.
