Ego, selfishness, greed, lack of confidence, and various mechanisms of societal control seek to take us out of the flow...
Stay in the flow and you'll be provided with what you need. There is a natural way of things... a natural method by which things come into your life.
If you come out of resonance and fight to stay there with your ego, greed, etc. then you can only progress further out of resonance and a chain reaction of negativity will ensue.
This is where all lack and all perception of lack comes from.

Don't ever try to be something you're not, don't try to fill an image that doesn't fit.
The universe machine can't give you what is rightfully yours if you're wearing a disguise and rejecting who/what you are. If it doesn't recognize you, it can't place what belongs to you.
Don't use your "free will" to fuck yourself into a cycle of neediness and self-pity.
I suppose it's different when you don't know/aren't aware. But now you know.

This is why negativity is so widely peddled to us via all forms of media and information.
People wouldn't stay out of resonance if they weren't so used to feeling "bad" and feeling like they're doing the wrong thing, or feeling like everything is "supposed to be" a drab shadow.
So media pushes the defunct, sad, bad vibe through its various forms/methods in an effort to make the feeling "normal" for people, thus perpetuating the dissonance.

When negativity is flying around from all these different sources, it's hard to track down the central point of the bad/sad feeling. That is attention diversion. Over complication of otherwise simple issues. The truth is as simple as following the trail back to your happiness, and/or a pure expression of yourself... and then using your intuition (gut feeling) to never deviate again. What becomes important once we're being true to ourselves again is to hone the intuition to work on the smallest of judgment calls and situations.
