As soon as you start generalizing people, you're losing...

You're just losing.

Women who hate all men...

Men who hate all women, or certain kinds of women...

People who are racist, people who hate rich people, people who hate other people for whatever reason.

As soon as you start getting all bitter, as soon as you start hating large swathes of people for whatever reason, you are just massively, massively losing.

Generalizing is a fallacy but so is your title.

spoken like someone who has clearly never worked much retail or service sector jobs. :p

many generalizations are valid, in general. there are always outstanding individuals in each group that break the mold, but they are the small minority. this is no excuse for irrational hate, but ignoring all the bell curves is equally irrational.

we are designed to recognize patterns, it is an integral part of survival.

True, I'm addressing bitterness and over the top dislike bordering on total hatred. It's just crazy to be that way, really unhealthy.

i would argue, in general, people that display that type of behavior are just projecting their feelings about themselves onto others.

and yes, it is very unhealthy and crazy. when the inner tempest spills outward...
